Authors of all accepted presentations can send a manuscript of maximum 1600 words in total for publication in the edited volume of EUROCALL conference short papers. Only research presented at the conference is eligible for publication.
In essence, the short papers are the acts and happenings of our academic field presented at the conference, but are not quite the same as proceedings. The short papers are peer-reviewed by two peers and edited before being published; while the philosophy is to help authors in the process, occasionally manuscripts can be rejected. As such, the articles published in the EUROCALL conference short papers are considered chapters in an edited book.
In order to keep research as current as possible, the short papers are published before the end of the year of the conference and are freely accessible on line, or can be purchased in a print edition. The book is individually identified with an ISBN and each paper with a DOI. For past editions (2012 to 2022), see https://research-publishing.net/publications?eurocall.
Authors of accepted manuscripts in EUROCALL conference short papers may also submit an extended version for peer-reviewed publication in ReCALL or The EUROCALL Review, or indeed to other journals.
See the current and past EUROCALL conference pages for links to the conference websites, virtual strands, blogs and reports.
